The carling cup is a very important event this year and obviously all the coming years. I expect for Manchester city to make a great comeback because of the matches they are not suceeding, however they are working very hard but i’m sure we expect much more from them, this is what I think. ELECTIONS 2012 Hey everyone! I will tell you about the elections in 2012 I hope people are going to be peaceful and people will not fight after the elections other wise we have to stay home the entire time and we students will have to stop coming to school, and I hope that the new president will make changes in the country by making the roads and making the roads safe to people to walk on the roads. Kigen, Grade 6 My expectatations for this year is to get a good mark the acer exams, I also have high expectations on getting a part in the musical. My expectation is for Kenya and its politics, I hope kenya will get a good president who will stop all the corruption and make kenya a better place for people. My other expectations are for football, I would expect Manchester United to win the Barclays Prieamer Leauge.
Acer Exams In this new year, we are going to do the Acer Exam- trials on the 24th of January and the real Acer exams are on the 7th and 8th of February. I expect to do very well in those tests because this is my last year in The Aga Khan Academy Nairobi, Junior School.
Musical This year, we are also going to do a whole school musical and I expect to get a good part in it by working hard and trying my best in the auditions. It should be as boring as our last musicals. Ha!! Gotcha, just kidding all our musicals have been a BLA$T!!!
Grade 6 PYP Exhibition In the 3rd Term of the school year 2011-2012, the Grade 6’s hold a PYP Exhibition where we use our research, selling and other useful skills to do whatever topic we have to research or whatever it takes to make our exhibition interesting.
Grade 6 trip to Mombasa At the end of Grade 6, which is like in June – July, it has been sort of a “tradition” to go to Mombasa so I’m really looking forward to it and I (“expect”) hope that Ms. Amirault will grant us permission to go on this fun trip. Edited by Mehnaz

So they first try to qualify to win, did you know that Egypt have won the Africa cup of nations 5 times and got to the finals 7 times and the best player is Didier Drogba. OH NO ACER exams! I’m not ready i mean i haven’t studied! Oh we still have a 2 or 3 weeks I have time. You guys might be wondering what I keep on blabbering about this big exam, its a very importanat exam let me explain. This year is ACER exams. The AKAJ students are taking part in the ACER exams on the 7th and 8th Febryary. We will do Exposition writing, narrative writing, comprehension and two math papers, we are timed to do the tests. Grade 3 to 6 take part. My expectatons are to work hard and not fail. Bye got to study!
Shriya says.. The Olympics Hey! Everybody I am going tell about the Olympics, so the Olympics are going to occur in June 2012 in London. Do you think it is going to be summer or winter? Do you want to take part in the Olympics? What do you think about the Olympics is it interesting or not, do you want it to be like the royal wedding? I like the Olympics because they have different types of sports, and those are the ones I like are football, swimming, gymnastics and even more but I’m so excited. Sumera says... My expectations for this year are for the musical. The musical is called the Nightingale. During the musical this year I want to see all the grades participating and doing their best job in whatever part they are playing. The musical will be held on 21st, 22nd and the 23rd of March. I expect the musical to be quite grand and I hope that I get a part in the musical. I expect to hear a loud applause when we are done with the musical, because the grade 6s are going to grade 7 and will no longer participate in any musical. Oh no im panicking cause of Acer Exams. This year the students of akaj are going to have Acer exams. We are having trials on 24th and beyond. The exams are on 8th 9th and I think on the 10th. My Expectations are that I really hope I pass and delight my parents, but for now my heart is beating so fast so please don’t ask……I said don’t ask. Im really working hard and I am kind of ready for the tests but realllllly scared.

Birhtdays My birthday’s this year and my expectations are my party and my birthday PRESENTS and my PARTY. I am expecting to have a party at my pool at home and for my birthday i would like an ipod, a new phone and a new bike(optional). I really hope i get a new phone(at least)
ACER Exam (oh no!!!) Well this term’s ACER exams will be the hardest. My gosh, what if i fail them i’ll never have a job and i’ll be living on the street with a stray dog called Harry. Nikhil says... My expectations for this year The Musical My expectation for this year is to become a main character in the school musical. I hope so that I will. If I want that to happen then I will have earn it and achieve it. There is a lot to do to get a main role because first you have to audition then you have to practice like a hundred times before the real event comes. It’s quite a lot to do. Acer My other expectation for this year is to pas in my Acer exams. In my Acer results I want to get all my results over the gray line. If you get below the gray line then that means you fail or get below average. I think that there are about over fifty questions in one paper and there are about four to five papers. But sometimes I get nervous when I am doing Acer. My music I really want to improve in my guitar. I am practicing a lot for my grade one exam. My expectations for my grade one exam is to pass because if I don’t pass then I will have to do the whole of grade one again. Of course people other than the actors have necessary things to do to make our musical a success. What about lightning, we don’t want the whole school dropping on the floor. Or costumes, no Aladdin wants to look like someone straight from Kibera Slums. And the acting coaches, they actually have the weight on them more than us. But it’s no fun when everyone is under pressure trying to reach perfection, which is unreachable.
And then they are my expectations for the parents. I expect that there will be no bargain hunting for ticket prices. And no one will show up half way through with a seat in the front. With a bag of popcorn that they hid in their purse. Cause that’s just mean. Or anyone will start taking shots of there child saying there one line. Cause that’s mean too. By the way- no flash photography while the play is going on.
So with all my expectations, it would take forever to give you a chance to even read through them all, and you know - I don’t want to waste your valuable time . . . and I got nothing left. Oh right! Good luck clean up crew.

rahil says.......Musical I expect to get a main role in the musical at school because I never gotten a main role. Because I did not get a role last year because I missed the auditions cause I was not there. Elections I expect raila odinga to win the election without any riots. I want raila to win because he will make Nairobi a better place to live and in the future Kenya should have a very good name. Isa I also need to pass the Isa which are very important exams. And I have also never done the Isa because last year in grade five I came to the school a bit late. Pyp exhibitions I expect to have a very successful pyp exhibition. I hope the exhibition goes well because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Pyp evaluation I hope the pyp evaluations go well. I hope the evaluators are very proud of our school.
This year the Uefa Chapmions League has had big surprises. Manchester United were beaten by Basel and were knocked out of the competion. So far the competition is still at the group stages and we are waiting for the round of 16 draw. This is a reveiw on some the big teams and their progress so far. Barcelona Last year Barcelona won the cup for the second time in a row. And to add to that they won the FIFA club world cup. So far they have done pretty well, winning 5 of their 6 matches and topping their group. In the round of 16 they shall play Bayen Leverkusen. Manchester united Unfortunatly for many fans, Manchester United were knocked out by newcomers Basel FC. Last years finalists finished third on the table just behind Basel with 9 points. Although they are doing pretty well in the premier league. ARSENAL Arsenal surprised everyone by bringing back Arsenal legend Theiry Henry on loan. They progressed to the round of 16 with 11 points. Last time they din’t do too well, getting knocked out in the round of 16. Manchester city Like Manchester United they got knocked out early and were sent home. They came third even though they beat group leaders Bayern Munich. They could still win the premier league but Manchester United are close behind.

Acer Exams Well I don’t know what I have to say about Acer exams but when they come I’m going to study hard and get 100% I’ll try as hard as I can that is my expectation for Acer exams. My singing goals What can I say about my singing? Well, I don’t really like going to my music class on Saturday but I have to my parents have encouraged me to learn a instrument I did but I gave up on it soon. So I’m going to learn guitar and stick to it like how I’ve stuck to singing. Elections Normally elections get rough and my family and I go to Thailand but this time we are staying in Kenya. My expectations are like my teachers that elections will be peaceful and who ever is chosen will lead our country and whoever loses will accept it. High school In September I will no longer be a grade 6 I will be a grade 7 and when I am a grade 7 I will study hard and pass all the exams I think I would focus more on studying and less on laughing with my friends….like Makena! Mombasa trip On the 3rd term we will be going to Mombasa and I plan to be responsible and respect all the rules. And I find out a secret the teachers will be guarding the halls! So much for sneaking out eh? I’m joking chillax dude! Or duddet …. Confidence I think I need to gain more confidence in my singing and my drama. As we all know the Kenyan elections are coming up, and we all know for a long time, Kenyan standards of organizing elections are very low, and this normally leads to a lot of protesrting. Protseting is when people go on the streets throw stones and complain about things. Many people will protest until they get their way. In our opinion we think you should vote for your favourite president and if it is not the president you voted for do not protest.

kellie says.....My twenty twelve Its finally 2012 and I can finally make some expectations, and I certainly want to remember them this year. That’s why I am typing this out. I have quite a number of expectations and I have ……..1, 2, 3, ok maybe there are too many count but they certainly not going to put you to sleep. Here I go.
The Musical In the musical I want to get a lead role but I have a lot of competition in this school. This time the musical is for the whole school Yaaaaaaaa!!!!! There’s is nothing else to say about how awesome and fun I expect the musicalis going to be. The best part is that the auditions are a few weeks away and the musical is like 19 weeks away I feel like jumping up and down when I say, that don’t you?
My music As much as I want to be in the musical I also want to get more serious about playing guitar which is currently lying lonely in my bedroom. I am starting lessons with Mr. Steve after ISA and I have to be good in my academics if I want to become a great guitarist. Acer I sometimes get the chills when I hear the word Acer I am quite scared because I want to perform better than last time. I mean I should, I am in grade six now and I am hoping to get at least level 5 in all subject.
My classes and work
I would like to start focusing on my studies and become serious about them. Mostly because I need to start getting ready for high school. My mum has been really pushing me to focus more and it is really rubbing off on me.

I do hope that we’re all good actors to the death ‘cause the musical is coming up. Now I’m not trying to say that we all stink at acting – although some of us are not born for the stage- we all have certain expectations, especially moi. That means me by the way, incase you didn’t know. In François. Which is French. I think. I’m moving on now. We should all at least have some sort of experience on stage. Even the tin man, or the bush Todo pees in. And it might be just me but maybe we should hand in résumés or something professional like that. But we are not the only ones with the responsibility of expectants.
Of course people other than the actors have necessary things to do to make our musical a success. What about lightning, we don’t want the whole school dropping on the floor. Or costumes, no Aladdin wants to look like someone straight from Kibera Slums. And the acting coaches, they actually have the weight on them more than us. But it’s no fun when everyone is under pressure trying to reach perfection, which is unreachable.
And then they are my expectations for the parents. I expect that there will be no bargain hunting for ticket prices. And no one will show up half way through with a seat in the front. With a bag of popcorn that they hid in their purse. Cause that’s just mean. Or anyone will start taking shots of there child saying there one line. Cause that’s mean too. By the way- no flash photography while the play is going on.
So with all my expectations, it would take forever to give you a chance to even read through them all, and you know - I don’t want to waste your valuable time . . . and I got nothing left. Oh right! Good luck clean up crew.

Elections
I expect raila odinga to win the election without any riots. I want raila to win because he will make Nairobi a better place to live and in the future Kenya should have a very good name.
Isa
I also need to pass the Isa which are very important exams. And I have also never done the Isa because last year in grade five I came to the school a bit late.
Pyp exhibitions
I expect to have a very successful pyp exhibition. I hope the exhibition goes well because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Pyp evaluation
I hope the pyp evaluations go well. I hope the evaluators are very proud of our school.

ReplyDeleteThis year the Uefa Chapmions League has had big surprises. Manchester United were beaten by Basel and were knocked out of the competion. So far the competition is still at the group stages and we are waiting for the round of 16 draw. This is a reveiw on some the big teams and their progress so far.
Barcelona
Last year Barcelona won the cup for the second time in a row. And to add to that they won the FIFA club world cup. So far they have done pretty well, winning 5 of their 6 matches and topping their group. In the round of 16 they shall play Bayen Leverkusen.
Manchester united
Unfortunatly for many fans, Manchester United were knocked out by newcomers Basel FC. Last years finalists finished third on the table just behind Basel with 9 points. Although they are doing pretty well in the premier league.
ARSENAL
Arsenal surprised everyone by bringing back Arsenal legend Theiry Henry on loan. They progressed to the round of 16 with 11 points. Last time they din’t do too well, getting knocked out in the round of 16.
Manchester city
Like Manchester United they got knocked out early and were sent home. They came third even though they beat group leaders Bayern Munich. They could still win the premier league but Manchester United are close behind.

Well I don’t know what I have to say about Acer exams but when they come I’m going to study hard and get 100% I’ll try as hard as I can that is my expectation for Acer exams.
My singing goals
What can I say about my singing? Well, I don’t really like going to my music class on Saturday but I have to my parents have encouraged me to learn a instrument I did but I gave up on it soon. So I’m going to learn guitar and stick to it like how I’ve stuck to singing.
Elections
Normally elections get rough and my family and I go to Thailand but this time we are staying in Kenya. My expectations are like my teachers that elections will be peaceful and who ever is chosen will lead our country and whoever loses will accept it.
High school
In September I will no longer be a grade 6 I will be a grade 7 and when I am a grade 7 I will study hard and pass all the exams I think I would focus more on studying and less on laughing with my friends….like Makena!
Mombasa trip
On the 3rd term we will be going to Mombasa and I plan to be responsible and respect all the rules. And I find out a secret the teachers will be guarding the halls! So much for sneaking out eh? I’m joking chillax dude! Or duddet ….
Confidence
I think I need to gain more confidence in my singing and my drama. If I want to be a big star I’ve got to have confidence right?

ICC WORLD CUP
Well in four years time the ICC( International cricket concil) world cup. Well to keep you updated, India won the last world cup aganist Sri Lanka! So who do you think will win in five years time?
Olympics
Well the olympics is going to be held in England, London 2012 it the will be held from 27th july to 12th August. I think i am going to watch the olympics to see Kenya’s champions run like the wind. I am sure Kenya will win a gold medal!

Will Kenya have peace or war!
As we all know the Kenyan elections are coming up, and we all know for a long time, Kenyan standards of organizing elections are very low, and this normally leads to a lot of protesrting. Protseting is when people go on the streets throw stones and complain about things. Many people will protest until they get their way.
In our opinion we think you should vote for your favourite president and if it is not the president you voted for do not protest.
Lets hope for the best.

ReplyDeleteIts finally 2012 and I can finally make some expectations, and I certainly want to remember them this year. That’s why I am typing this out. I have quite a number of expectations and I have ……..1, 2, 3, ok maybe there are too many count but they certainly not going to put you to sleep. Here I go.
The Musical
In the musical I want to get a lead role but I have a lot of competition in this school. This time the musical is for the whole school Yaaaaaaaa!!!!! There’s is nothing else to say about how awesome and fun I expect the musicalis going to be. The best part is that the auditions are a few weeks away and the musical is like 19 weeks away I feel like jumping up and down when I say, that don’t you?
My music
As much as I want to be in the musical I also want to get more serious about playing guitar which is currently lying lonely in my bedroom. I am starting lessons with Mr. Steve after ISA and I have to be good in my academics if I want to become a great guitarist.
Acer
I sometimes get the chills when I hear the word Acer I am quite scared because I want to perform better than last time. I mean I should, I am in grade six now and I am hoping to get at least level 5 in all subject.
My classes and work
I would like to start focusing on my studies and become serious about them. Mostly because I need to start getting ready for high school. My mum has been really pushing me to focus more and it is really rubbing off on me.
