On our trip to KILIMANI PRIMARY SCHOOL we saw children who were blind, had low vision and were both blind and deaf. I admired the way the people make the braile. We went with ms ashifa and ms kabah.People who are blind use sounds to communicate so if they are playing catch they need that person to throw the ball on the floor hard so they can hear it to get it,they have very sharp/sensetive ears.

Kilimani primary school was a very good experience,we met all types of people there. There were blind people, deaf people and blind and deaf people. We visited there because we wanted to find out how the blind and deaf people communicate. We realized that they are not so different to us, the blind even knew how to tire race .The blind also had a ball that made noise when people threw it so thy could run there and could catch it.

we went to kilimani primary school, where we learn't how the blind and the BilidDeaf communicate. And we saw real braille. I think blind and deaf people have to really work hard to learn braille\sign language.
Now i know that if your partially blind you can still do many things.

Going to Kilimani Primary was an experience because we learnt even though other children have disabilities, they can also be like us and we as the Aga Khan Academy Nairobi need to thank God that we can see, hear and we don't have any disabilities. When we were in the deaf blind unit, there was a girl who was hugging many of us! At break time, there was a boy who could ride a tyre and he was totally blind! Isn't that cool?

When we went to KILAMANI PRIMARY SCHOOL I was really amazed at how visual impaired children communicated. Did you know the totally visual impaired children could go/come back to and from the washroom? In KILAMANI PRIMARY SCHOOL there were also children who were hearing impaired, visual and hearing impaired and children who were just like us. I learnt visual impaired people used something called a BRAILLER to write BRAILLE. This visit told me people who are visual and hearing impaired think they are lucky. It was a great experience.

Going to Kilimani Primary School was a great experience. We are learning about how people communicate so we went there to find out how deaf, blind and deaf and blind people communicate. We knew the blind and deaf people were not able to see or hear so we had to show respect. When we were in the deaf blind room there was a girl who showed her appreciation by hugging us. She was also feeling us.
