ReplyDeleteWe hope this letter will reach you safely. As a grade we are planning to go on a field trip where we will be learning about how to control spending money. Every child needs a budget and as a group they will have two or three times the budget for each person. For example if one person’s budget is 500ksh then as a group of three they will have 1500ksh to spend. As a class we need help on deciding the budget each child gets. We would like you to tick what you think is a good budget, the options are below.

CHANDARANA FOOD PLUS

On 14th May 2015 the Grade 5s went to Chandarana/Foodplus to shop for some products we had got a budget of 750/-. We left the school at 9:15am and reached there at 9:40 am. The teachers who accompanied us were Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Jan, Ms. Helen, Ms. Mary, and Mr. Perez. When we reached there Ms. Cynthia told us to spend our money wisely and have fun. So the whole Grade 5 rushed in and started moving around the super market. We did an Excel budget so we knew what to buy when we got there. We also sent a survey to the parents to see which one had more votes.

We had a nice amount of money to spend 750/-
We had fun while shopping but we also shopped wisely
While we were shopping we didn’t make a lot of noise and didn’t annoy the customers

I wish that we could have gone to Chandarana in Diamond Plaza.
We should have got a bigger budget (1000/-)
